Laboratory Investigations
Lead or participate in forensic laboratory investigations. Ensure that chain of custody is maintained and all evidence is controlled and handled to eliminate spoliation. The specific objective of the laboratory investigation will be based on the nature of the project (e.g. cause and origin, scope of damage, etc.). Ensure that the laboratory investigations are performed according to prepared protocol and standard or acceptable laboratory practices.

Review of documents (operating data, design, process diagrams, maintenance manuals, inspection and repair reports, memoranda, photographs, etc.), preparation and submittal of request for information (RFI), analysis of data, witnessing inspection and testing, interview personnel, identify and support subrogation, provide technical support and expert witnessing for law suits. Work, as appropriate with the insured and loss adjustment team (adjusters, insurers, other technical experts, clerks, attorneys, accountants, and schedulers) to process the loss.
